Product Overview:
Unleash the power of the OEM GPS sat nav system that is already installed in your E87 BMW 1 Series, E90 BMW 3 Series, E60 5 Series, E63 / E64 6 Series or 2007+ E70 BMW X5! The NV_BMW356 NavVideo module is the easiest way to interface a video source such as a DVD player, TV tuner, iPod Video, reverse backup video camera, video game console, PC, aftermarket satellite navigation system or any other AV source directly to your OEM GPS Navigation LCD screen display in the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, or 2007 and higher X5.
The NV_BMW356 is an easy to install, plug and play video module that will allow you to add any NTSC / PAL composite or RGB video source to your OEM GPS navigation LCD display screen. Our module works as long as you have the factory screen installed in your vehicle, regardless as to whether or not you have the nav option. The NV_BMW356 features three video inputs, and a separate camera input which can be activated automatically when shifting the vehicle into reverse.
The NV_BMW356 is an externally wired plug-and-play interface that is installed inline with your vehicle's LCD screen; it works simply by interrupting the video signal and inserting the image from the attached source whenever you activate the "Mode" button that is provided. When your normal video is displayed simply turn on your external video source and activate the input via the Mode button (or the Menu button on the iDrive, when the optional CAN connection is made) and the normal video image is replaced by your video source, once you turn it back off, the normal image is displayed once again.

Vehicle Specific Installation Information:
The NV_BMW356 module is very easy to install. The NV_BMW356 comes complete with a full installation guide, required cables, and Mode button. The NV_BMW356 is a video only interface, which means an FM modulator, FM transmitter or CD changer audio input interface adapter needs to be used to connect the audio signal from your external source to your audio system.
The NV_BMW356 is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion! This unit will work in vehicles with or without the factory GPS navigation option installed, but REQUIRES the factory LCD display to be present regardless.

The Nav Video Rear View Camera 1 is ideal for use with the Nav Video line of video interfaces. The camera is mounted to a black plastic frame that features two holes spaced apart for mounting on your vehicles license plate frame. Installation is easy. Simply remove the screws from your license plate, place the camera over the license plate. Then re-attach the screws. The camera adjusts up and down, to allow you to adjust the angle of the video image.
This particular backup camera has night vision IR sensors that allow you to see what's behind you even in low light or no light environments.

The Nav Video Rear View Camera 2 is ideal for use with the Nav Video line of video interfaces. Simply install the camera, connect the video signal to the Nav Video module along with the vehicles reverse wire. When the vehicle is put into reverse, the video image on the module will automatically switch and show the camera video image.
This particular backup camera has night vision IR sensors that allow you to see what's behind you even in low light or no light environments.
The Nav Video Rear View Camera 2 uses CMOS technology. The enclosure is completely waterproof and can easily be surface mounted to the plastic bumper, or license plate frame with two screws or bolts (not provided).

The standard license plate frame is made of black plastic and features infra red night vision sensors all around it for optimal image viewing in low light conditions. The camera itself is mounted on a swiveling base which allows you to adjust the angle of the camera up or down depending on the height of your license plate.
