Unleash the power of the OEM navigation unit installed in your Chevrolet Avalanche . The NV_GMUNLOCKPRO unit gives you the ability to watch DVD while driving, watch video from a separate video source while driving as well as enter street addresses and scroll through XM radio stations while the vehicle is in motion. This module also features dual audio and video inputs so you can easily connect multiple external A/V sources to your front nav screen!
The module requires that the front screen and navigation be installed but the rear seat entertainment as well as XM satellite radio although supported, are not required.
Once Installed The GM Unlock Module Will Enable You To:-Watch DVD movies played in the front factory DVD player on the screen while the vehicle is in motion.
-Watch video from any video device connected to the rear seat auxiliary input jack while the vehicle is in motion (if the vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary input).
-Enable you to enter addresses into the navigation system while the vehicle is in motion (unlocks this feature for ~60 seconds, during which time your not tracked, then automatically reverts to normal).
-Enable you to scroll through the XM channels list while the vehicle is in motion (if the vehicle is equipped with the XM radio option)
-Connect up to four video cameras (reverse backup camera, front camera, left and right camera) or aftermarket video source such as a baby cam, game console or other device.
- 3 Video Inputs (one reverse triggerable for aftermarket camera)
- 2 Stereo Audio Inputs (add an iPod, or MP3 player and hear it through your audio system)
- Turn on the factory reverse backup camera whenever you want, even while driving forward (if vehicle is equipped with oem camera, ONE wire is required to be cut for this featrure)
- Connect an aftermarket Bluetooth module (COMPATIBLE WITH PARROT, MOTOROLA, AND OTHER UNIVERSAL BLUETOOTH HANDS FREE CELL PHONE KITS). Once you have "mated" your phone to the aftermarket Bluetooth hands free kit (sold separately) and connected it to the GMUNLOCKPRO your radio will automatically mute and you can hear the conversation over your factory speakers. Use the microphone provided with the aftermarket Bluetooth hands free kit to talk.
Add an Aftermarket Backup Camera or Video Input To Your 2007 or 2008 Chevy, GM or Cadillac SUV
The GM override unlock module also has a composite video input that will allow the connection of a reverse backup camera to your factory system (for vehicles that do not already have the OEM reverse camera installed). If your vehicle already has the factory backup camera installed you can instead use this auxiliary video input for a third party video device such as a second camera, baby camera, game console or other video source. When the module is used with an aftermarket backup camera (i.e. no oem camera present) you can also toggle to this camera view while in drive and the vehicle is in motion by pressing a sequence of buttons (window lock button one time, then steering wheel mute button 4 times). When used in a vehicle with an OEM backup camera, this module WILL NOT enable you to switch to video the OEM backup camera while in motion, but allow you to view whatever video source is connected to the yellow auxiliary video input.
Please note that in order to use this feature the GM / Cadillac dealer must re-flash / reprogram your navigation head unit to be setup for the factory backup camera system. Some dealer technicians may not know how to perform this operation or will refuse to do this, therefore this feature is not guaranteed or supported by . Basic instructions informing the GM technician on how to accomplish this are provided in the installation guide.
